Keeps the sun out of my eyes
I kayak almost every week and don't wear sunglasses as I'm too busy looking for birds to take pics of and that requires speed once I see some. Darn, they usually refuse to pose! I'm able to keep the sun from my eyes without a huge brim. This hat lives in my dry bag between outings so I appreciate how well its packs up. I also like that it has a chin strap for windy days. It is heavier than I thought so some summer days may feel toasty.
