Sink really important

This review is going to be long but if you want to hear about my experience please read below.TL:DR Using a shaving basket is well worth it. It is important when shaving. That's great for the price. I've been on the wet shaving bandwagon for years. I started out like most men, using canned foam and a multi-blade cartridge razor by the time I was 18. I was playing around with wet shaving (safety razors, shaving oils, creams, etc.) around 2009. I've had success with most products. that I have used. Around 2014, a brick-and-mortar Art of Shaving store opened at a local mall. I got interested and I left. For the first time in my life I could smell, touch and use products. I have found a perfect place. The price wasn't great. My wife bought me a gift set that included a razor, brush and shaving mug. This was the first time we used a foam cup. The reason I got it was because it comes in two parts. The "mug" is ceramic and is an insert in a pewter handle. The pewter handle should be filled with hot water and the ceramic "cup" placed in the heating insert. I've tried several ways to do this. I would pour hot water into a mug and touch it. I filled the sink with hot water and kept the two pieces in there to warm them up, then poured hot water over them. I poured hot water into the handle several times while shaving. I have never heated ceramics the way I wanted them to. I think the mug is around $80 and not worth it in my opinion. I bought it after watching some YouTube videos. If it didn't work I would just send it back. I shave every day and have been using the shuttle for 1 week. I used a bucket of Proraso Shaving Soap, Proraso Shaving Cream, and Jack Black Supreme Cream. I used my clean Edwin Jagger badger brush and my Jack Black synthetic brush. The temperature of the water coming out of my faucet is around 127-128 degrees Fahrenheit. This thing works amazing. I had to figure out the best way to get warm foam in 3 passes, and here's what I came up with. 1. Fill the bucket and inner chamber with hot tap water and soak the brush for about 5 minutes. I do that while brushing my teeth. I left it there for about 20 minutes in the shower but I didn't see much of a difference. I'm talking about 5 to 7 minutes which should be enough.2. Drain and fill with hot water, I use a faucet and then use your soap or cream to create a thick lather. The design makes it really easy to develop foam faster than anything else I've used.3. When applied to the face, it should feel warm. It's really important to shave.4. When you reapply the foam, make sure you wave the brush there for a minute. I've found that the bottom of the bucket retains heat the best. Rotating the brush will heat it up again and your second pass will be warm too. I didn't do it the first few times and assumed so. I was wrong. It really keeps you warm. I found that my third shaving cream was still warm using this technique. This article is really great. The bowl is the right size and feels good in your hand. I place my palm on the bottom of the bowl and put my thumb in the handle for support. This is something the Art of Shaving mug didn't allow as it was in 2 parts. This product has exceeded everything I could have asked for. I look forward to shaving every morning. Even if you don't want to shave with THIS specific razor, you have to buy it and try it. I guarantee you will love it. I bought it for less than $20 and I would recommend it to anyone who just wants to try it. If you have more to spend, Georgia Pottery's bucket is second to none, but costs $65. At this price you should try one before you commit.
