I have a 2016 Cadillac SRX. I usually keep the back seats down and both of my dogs have backs. I bought it for the back seat as we were planning to take the dogs to the beach for the first time and needed a place to put our beach stuff. Okay, getting the dogs to the beach was a complete disaster, but they really enjoyed riding in the back seat with this extender. They felt safe and could see through the windows. I added a memory foam doggy mat and some pillows in the back and they took a long nap. The dog boy liked it so much that the next time I put him in the car he refused to get out. Literally tried to bite us when we tried to get him out so we left him hanging out there with the AC on. He really enjoyed hanging out in the back seat while my car was running. 5 attempts and an hour later he still refused to go out. We were eventually able to pull it out, although my partner almost lost an arm in the process. Now every time I take him for a walk, he runs straight to the car and looks at the door because he wants a ride. We never did that before we got this thing. One of us drives around the neighborhood in it 2-3 times a week. Now it's his favorite thing in the world.
