A very high-quality product, I take it not for the first time.

I needed a flash drive to work with documents, so the high speed of writing small files, albeit in small volumes, was more interesting than the ability to quickly drive 5-30 GB each. It is unfortunate that by the time I was puzzled by this question, the first generation of SanDisk Extreme 32 GB at a sane price is no longer to be found.

When writing a 2.4 GB archive on a PC with usb 3.1 on Windows 10, the speed was up to more than 90 MB / s. Works worse on Windows 7 and usb 3.0 (CrystalDiskMark test results are attached).
Real data: 1.7 GB (4973 files from 8 kB to 23 MB), 3 different computers (from 3.0 - a laptop, the first two on Windows 7), hard drives are ordinary everywhere. On the first with usb 2.0, the recording is 5 minutes, on the second with 3.0 - 4, on 3.1 - 3. Recording on my old 2.0 standard flash drive lasts 16 minutes. At the end of the working day - it's an eternity! The speed of copying from a flash drive to a PC, respectively, is 3 minutes, 4 (the laptop's hard drive failed otherwise) and 1. It is copied from an old flash drive in 4 minutes. I am satisfied.

Pros

Excellent flash drive for working with files up to 1-2 GB. You will have to look for options with a similar write speed for small files, and, most likely, they will be significantly more expensive (higher capacity). For non-small files, if the first gigabyte was recorded at 90, and the second at 20, then the average speed is 55 MB / s - there are also few analogues for comparable money and they will certainly be larger in size. Excellent SanDisk warranty (I have experience with another flash drive), you just need to register it on their website.

Cons

This flash drive remains excellent, provided that you need to write to it, in most cases, no more than 2 GB at a time. As the volume of one-time recording of information increases, it becomes good, then normal, and after “you can find better” (for 4 GB, the speed will be (90 20 20 20) / 4 = 37.5 MB / s, etc. .). I got the impression that the speed depends on the operating system and usb version (3.0 or 3.1). Even on usb 3.1 and Windows 10, the read speed of my copy does not exceed 135 MB / s, although 150 is drawn on the package.
