I'm a relatively experienced DIYer, but a complete novice when it comes to multi-tools. I just never had and never had a multi tool prior to this purchase. I only bought it because I needed something to take on cross country flights in case mechanical repairs were needed. I went with the black finish because I liked the way it looked. (First mistake. Next time I'd go for stainless steel.) It was a bit greasy, and as I started playing various instruments, the grease and black coating rubbed off my fingers. So I decided to wipe down everything, including every single tool, with a Clorox cloth. (Second mistake.) Don't do it. That ruins the exit. Everything still works fine; it just doesn't look very nice. In addition, it was too difficult for me to open individual instruments when playing with the instruments. it was just too tight and I didn't want to break my nails trying. I felt like I needed a separate tool to open separate tools. Maybe it will loosen up over time, I don't know. And here are the 3rd and 4th mistakes. It seemed that in order to gain access to a screwdriver, bottle opener, etc., I first had to get the knife out of the way. So I partially opened the knife and then when I tried to open the screwdriver my hand slipped and I cut myself on the knife. Dude, this thing is sharp. Deep cut, took 15 minutes to stop the bleeding. Then, in my infinite wisdom, I literally did the same thing on the other side with the saw. Ouch. Now patches on both hands. As I said, I'm a newbie. It looks like a quality multi-tool and is well built, but I wonder if it could be more user-friendly.
