I have had this volume/mute device for a few months. I feel like I can give an honest review. I bought this because the headphones/mics that came with the PS4 are so tiny (and only fit in one ear). I used headphones for training but they don't have a mute button. And you know. Sometimes all you need is that mute button. I was thrilled when I found AdjustR. It seemed to be exactly what I was looking for. It even had a "bonus" volume control feature. The other player always messes up the headset volume. I figured the volume control would help me with that. In short, I like it. Four stars because the build quality is so-so. However, I don't hit the wall or the floor. If treated with care I don't think it will break. Long review. First impression: Out of the box, it felt like a piece of junk. It's very light and, as I mentioned above, the build quality doesn't seem very high. The mute button worked and the volume control worked smoothly. So far, so good. Usage: everything connected and voila, everything worked. For volume, I had to set the console output to max and then turn it down with the AdjustR knob. To connect the device, you have to do some tinkering. Make sure the device is fully inserted. static.Warning: I've been told that AdjustR can cause static on my friends' lines. They even sent me audio clips of the noise. I think this was caused by AdjustR not being fully injected. I've been playing with it for the past few weeks with no complaints. Conclusion: If you want to use your existing PS4 headphones, I recommend AdjustR. It's not perfect, but it does the job. It's cheaper than buying headphones or Vita headphones. If you want the perfect solution and want to spend about $15 more, I think the Vita headphones are a good option.
