Review on Deluxe Duffel Bag With Shoulder Strap By Stansport by Jose Ballard

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great for a Folding Cot Case

I bought this in a LARGE (42-inch X 12-inch X 12-inch) as a replacement for my folding cot cover which was taking some wear and tear after a year (cot pack size 41"x9"x7"). It was a tight fit lengthwise, but I was able to get two of the grommets clipped on the top. I had plenty of room to spare widthwise.CONSTRUCTION & MATERIALS- I was impressed with the thickness of the fabric and the quality of the seams and grommets. The only single point of failure that I can foresee is the clip at the top. For the amount of weight that you could potentially stuff in this very generous size bag it may eventually give. If there is a way to lock the top with a substantial lock I have not figured that out yet but a TSA lock would probably work. it is nice that there is a shoulder strap as well as a side handle.SIZE - The 42-inch X 12-inch X 12-inch is very generous. I think that you could almost fit the same amount of clothing in as a 36" gym bag. Not quite as wide but a bit longer. Perfect for a college student or a (very deep) laundry bag. It comes in a 50-inch X 14.5-inch X 14.5-inch size but that size may be a bit unwieldy. I'm 5'10" and the 42 inch version was long off of my shoulder.

Pros
  • Stylish design that makes you stand out from the crowd
Cons
  • The bag lacks reinforced stitching, leading to fraying and tears
