Review on ๐Ÿงผ Marasol 4-Pack Soap Saver and Scrub Pad: Coconut Fiber, Compostable, Zero Waste, Bar Soap Holder, Non-Scratch Scour Pad, Vegetable Brush by Richard Cuneo

The shipping packaging makes this product absolutely PLASTIC FREE OR WASTE FREE

This is because THE ENTIRE PURCHASE OF THESE CLEANING PADS DOES NOT USE PLASTIC. As you can see from the photo, I ended up with a lot more plastic than if I had bought a regular local scrubber that didn't need to be shipped. AMAZON AND MARASOL: DESCRIBING A PRODUCT AS PLASTIC-FREE/WASTE-FREE WHEN IT SUPPLIED IN PLASTIC IS FALSE ADVERTISING. AAAARCH! I am only deducting two stars for this because I feel I should be reviewing the product myself and not the shipping. But if it is part of the sales argument that it is plastic-free, the shipping method definitely counts in the evaluation. The scrub pad is thick (compared to a Skoy or Chore Boy scrubber) and very hard on first use, even after soaking. hot soapy water for a few minutes so I couldn't use it to clean the inside of glasses and jars very well. At the end of the boot I was better able to bend it in half to get into the corners of larger items. Let's see how it gets softer in the future. It cleaned fairly well, and it's woven tight enough that food doesn't get stuck in it (like a washcloth or loose coco coir might).

Pros
  • Health & Household
Cons
  • Slightly torn
