The support screws didn't fit or stay in the corner slot

I bought this mount for my home office, for an old flat screen TV, as an extra monitor and for guests to watch TV. Installation is the way to go considering how long it takes to attach to the wall. However, the problem arises when mounting the TV. First, the included screws don't go all the way in. I added some washers thinking it would help but it didn't. The screws seem to be too wide at 1/4mm so they can't be screwed in unless you use a power screwdriver. Khrmf. Even when I used them with a cordless screwdriver, I didn't have to use it for quality reasons as it threatened to rip off the head. Ouch! Therefore, hand-screwing with a Phillips head worked best, although I could only tighten it enough with non-original screws and not with the screws included in the kit. Second, they're very short, so if they don't even use shims to help, don't. I had to replace the bolts with some others that were also about 1 inch longer and they fit and fit well. Second, there is an additional issue of where the TV is mounted. For some reason the angle of the viewing segment on the back is designed for a non modern tv it weighs 10-12lbs, the screws holding the viewing angle are rubbish and don't hold the tv upright, I have after install - 15* angle that's fine for both working at my desk and viewing from my bed, but otherwise no longer vertically adjustable. Because of the way it's designed, I'm tempted to add a reinforcement strap (like you do with toddler furniture). room) so I can have peace of mind as I can't get the TV to the angle I want. Removing a TV from the wall doesn't seem like a wise idea when a construction issue makes it unsafe for personal use. tastes. It'll either be that, or remove the specific TV and install a much lighter one (although the one I have weighs less than 20 pounds overall!) and see if the screws hold the angle. But I shouldn't have done it, not because of design issues.
