It works well with internal SSDs
After trying a 480GB SSD from OWC (Aura Pro X) and being unhappy with the severe battery drain, this unit solved the problem and got me to normal power consumption in my MacBook back Per 13 inches. I had to reduce the amount of storage from 480 GB to 256 GB, but that was enough for me.
