I didn't think I could put a new belt on until I got my hands on this installation tool and I was almost ready to buy a new washer! The belt began to twist as I rotated the pulley and there wasn't enough clearance under the pulley when the belt was fully seated on the motor shaft grooves to feel like I could feed the belt further without breaking my fingers to pinch I know it seems expensive but with this tool I was able to do it and it was pretty easy. I let the belt lean from the motor shaft grooves toward the adjustment tool, which gave me enough clearance to route the belt, prevent twisting and not feel like I could pinch my fingers. I suggest watching some videos. Put on gloves. I made it with just one zipper. Don't be afraid to apply constant force as the pulley rotates. The belt fits. You can do that!
