Review on πŸͺ‘ Flash Furniture HERCULES Series 24/7 Intensive Use Big & Tall 400 lb. Rated Black Mesh Multifunction Synchro-Tilt Ergonomic Office Chair: Unmatched Comfort and Durability for Heavy-Duty Workspaces by Amy Wheeler

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great chair so far!

I have just assembled the chair and this review was the first task I took on. So I will update this review if I run into any issues in the future. However, this chair makes a good first impression. If you look at the weight of the item in the description it says the weight of the ship is 67 pounds! It's a lot heavier than most office chairs and I put together quite a few of these chairs in one day. It's heavy mainly because it has many metal components, all made of very thick steel. I mean surprisingly fat; Maybe twice as much as a normal chair. The base is metal and very heavy. The same goes for the L-shaped structure of the arms. The armrests are also attached to the seat with four screws, rather than the three (or, in the worst case, two) screws of most chairs. This is not stated in the description, but the armrests are adjustable in height, width and angle of inclination. the "big and tall" chairs at Revain and oddly they were mostly the same seat size as my regular old chair at work. Hercules has a much wider and deeper seat than usual. The back is wider and higher. I'm 6ft 4" tall and the seat actually touches the backs of my knees with my butt pushed back as far as possible. For me this is the first time. I'm not particularly tall, but sometimes I like to sit cross-legged or in weird positions, and this chair is perfect for that. However, there are three things that appear to be "average" (or below) in weight and quality: - The gas cylinder (for height adjustment) appears to be a versatile and versatile model. This makes it easy to swap out, but if you're on the heavy side, you probably know that's the first thing you should do. I will find it elsewhere. The wheels are a bit confusing. They're lighter and feel flimsy than on a $100 off-brand chair. I'm sure they will be fine but if I was close to the weight limit I would be nervous. I have three comments that do not affect my overall opinion of the product but may be of interest: - At the minimum height, this chair is still quite tall. Yes indeed. I kept my old chair 2-3 inches above the minimum. Hercules is better than that at least. I think if the pad breaks it will be less of an issue but it takes some getting used to now. If you're on the "big" side of the equation, be aware that a lower desk (or keyboard stand) may not fit your feet underneath. However, the top of the base is 6.5 inches off the ground. My old chair base is 5.5 inches high. So I could lose an inch by swapping them. Just note if you like the chair but it's too tall for your taste. Along with this chair I bought office chair casters (set of 5) - Heavy duty and safe for all floors including hardwood - Perfect table replacement Roller skate style floor mat with universal fit that fits perfectly, looks well made and rolls very easily. However, they add about 1.5 inches to the overall height of the chair. Keep this in mind before you go the same way. I will return them. (Standard wheels are only 2" if you're looking for alternatives.) - The particular chair I received was clearly assembled, taken apart, and then returned by someone else. The packaging of all parts was taped (not clean) and the powder coating on the steel parts was damaged where the screws had previously been fitted and removed. Little problem. I won't return it, but it's exhausting. (Again, this doesn't affect my overall rating as this is a seller issue and not a product issue, but I'd be curious to see if others report this.)
