They are very soft and very thick. The patterns are cute but the socks look red in the picture when they are actually pink. I would have preferred red, but I think it's my fault for not reading the description of the color, which she calls fuchsia and lavender. The only thing that was really disappointing was the fit. They don't rise very high above the ankle and the foot is cut very wide, so they don't fit so much like socks, but more like booties. It also means that they don't fit a toddler's foot very well.
