So soft, beautiful and big!

I did a lot of research before deciding on this beanbag and I'm so glad I chose it! Buying the cover and filling material separately and filling the beanbag yourself is significantly cheaper than buying a beanbag that is already filled. And since it was my teenage daughter's birthday, we saved the stuffing for her birthday and had a good laugh at how the beads ended up all over the place, including all over us and the dog. Playing with static beads, throwing them at each other and dipping your hands in them is very fun and sensual. bad process to just suck them up afterwards. I suggest having a vacuum and a trash bag for emptying the vacuum's bin in the room where you make the chair BEFORE you start so you don't end up chasing beads everywhere to get those supplies later. . LAUGH OUT LOUD! My advice: just close the door and keep the beads in the same room until you're done cleaning. With this particular bean bag cover, I'm so glad I chose this because it's a very soft, warm, velvety material and not cold vinyl or rough canvas. It seems very durable and well made with good strong stitching. I like that it has a pen. And a tote bag is a great thing, you just have to figure out how to use it properly (more on that later). And with a wide base of 43.3″ x 43.3″ it's big enough for an adult, it's one of the largest beanbags I could find. (This size is exactly the same as the image of the teenage girl in the orange tank top. The image of the woman in the gray dress and headphones makes the beanbag look a little larger than it really is.) I also liked being able to choose my own padding. A lot of pre-filled bean bags seem to come with memory foam, but we wanted the styrofoam balls to hold their shape and provide some support and resistance, and not sit on the floor when the memory foam flattened. Now my transport bag warning in case anyone else is as stupid as me. For some reason, after reading the instruction manual (which didn't make much sense to me, probably due to the poor translation), I figured that the tote bag should serve as the inner lining of the beanbag. So I finally zipped them up and stuffed the tote inside the beanbag and then stuffed the beads into the tote with the beanbag cover itself being the outer layer. This didn't work at all because the tote was much smaller than the bean bag cover so when seated the bulging transfer bag was rock hard and the outer bean bag cover was too loose and shapeless for him. I eventually found out that the mailer wasn't supposed to be there as an inner lining and should be used much later if your beanbag ever gets dirty and you want to remove the outer cover and wash it, but there was room to put styrofoam balls inside at the same time without them over to scatter all over the floor. In THAT case, you zipped the tote onto the beanbag, and the tote acted as a container to fill with beads and store while you wash the cover. But on that first day, when you first filled the bean bag, you don't use the tote at all. You simply pour the beads right into the lid of the beanbag and close it. The last word on the amount of filler to buy. Some people in these reviews said you need about 400 liters (4 of those 100 liter Big Joe bags) of styrofoam pellets, but we're pretty happy with just 300 liters. Another person said he used 6 16oz Poly-Fil Biggie Bean Bags from Joann Fabrics. One of these bags will fill 2 cubic feet, which is approximately 56 liters. So 6 of these bags would be 6 x 56 = approx. 336 liters, which corresponds to our experience. So I think 300 to 400 liters (12 to 14 cu ft) will do, depending on taste.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • boring packaging
