I recently traveled from the US to Hong Kong and China. This adapter was very necessary. Friends told me hotels had 110 volt American outlets, some did, some didn't. The ones that did only had one or two for my devices. This travel adapter worked to charge my laptop, ipad, phone, smart watch and wireless headphones. Adapter with 4 slide switches to extend and open specific pins required by the source connector. Once plugged in, the adapter powers 4 USB ports and 1 power outlet for my laptop. When I was departing from Hong Kong, the passenger next to me in the waiting room had a device with a European plug which she was trying to plug into the UK socket at our seats. My adapter plugged into a nearby standard UK socket, I had 2 of my USB chargers so I said she could use the main socket on my adapter for her European plug. She was grateful and took a picture of the adapter to buy! I was grateful that I bought this travel adapter for my trip.
