If you have a CD, DVD or Blueray player, this is what you need.

Whatever you say about people who have a CD, DVD or Blueray player, if you have one you end up needing one of these bad guys to clean your lens, disassemble it players don't. Thing is I have a rear entertainment center on my Land Rover LR4 with a 6 disc changer where due to a bug it stopped reading discs and taking it apart was NOT an option and I never wanted to do that . I remember going to Best Buy, Fry's Electronics, or even Target back then to get one of those CD cleaners, but I wasn't trying to drive anywhere to look for an antique instrument. Luckily, good Revane has this jewel to carry out your commands. The disc is just a DVD with 3 tiny bristles and all you have to do is insert the disc and let it play until you see the menu screen and then select the Sound menu options. I haven't delved into the audio part yet but as soon as I saw the menu screen I found that the lens had been cleaned and in fact I could see all 6 discs in each cassette slot. I spend more money on stupid things than on this little gem. For the price of a beer at a bar, I now have a working DVD changer that my kids can use to watch movies on the go. I'd rather listen to a different Frozen movie than kids screaming and screaming.

Pros
  • The 3 small holes contain small "brushes" that create static electricity that attracts dust as it spins inside the drive to be cleaned. If the disc is ejected after the cleaning cycle, the static electricity will dissipate and loosen all the dust inside the DVD drive.
Cons
  • Available in white only
