So far I've been pleasantly surprised by this set. I started at about 16g and now three months later I'm at 10g (and continuing). Unfortunately, this set does not contain a 16g cone, so I bought another set as well. Looking at two sets, one for $13 and the other for $26, I didn't notice any difference in construction. I was concerned that a cheaper set would have more nickel and other allergens in the metal; I used to react to copper and nickel. No answer yet; just the usual slight itch when my ears grow to the next size. And this kit comes with a small piece of paper listing the recommended wait time between sensors; I found it incredibly comfortable. For other newbies: I don't wear cones; I only use them to attach the appropriate connector. The rubber bands on the smaller forks are a bit adventurous, sometimes catching in hair or clothing and coming out on their own. Luckily plenty of bands are included (take them off the cones) and on larger calibers you can borrow bands from the smaller calibers for a snugger fit. Happy Ear Growth!
