Review on Waterproof And Windproof 2-3 Person Forceatt Tent: Lightweight, Easy To Set Up, And Ideal For Hiking And Backpacking In 3-4 Seasons by Cory Owens

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Major design flaw on aluminum connector

I took this along on my first ever 21 mile, three day backpacking hike with my boys in the Smokies. I tested it by setting it up beforehand, but using it for the first time on the trail, one of the two main circular aluminum knuckle-type connectors no longer held the poles because two of the three holes became elongated and the poles would easily slip out, rendering the tent unable to stand up (see picture: one on the right is the flawed one, one on the left is for comparison). It appears to be a design flaw and can’t use it anymore. Unfortunately, my window of time to return it has passed so not sure what to do. If the manufacturer is reading this, would love to get a fix for this so I can continue using it as it appears to be a good, lightweight backpacking tent. Would happily update this review as well.UPDATE (Sep 30, 2021):After contacting the seller and showing the defect, I was sent a new tent! Customer support was very understanding and professional. Updated my review to five stars.

Cons
  • The tent may not be spacious enough for three individuals and all of their gear

Bought it for wife who is not mechanically inclined, she figured it out and had an awesome sleep free from wind and cold.
