I have several Hamilton Beach products. They all work very well. I was shocked and disappointed when I received this particular defective item. Model #19901. The iron itself is great. Very nice iron. Good healthy feeling. Cool digital control and display. Lots of steam. Gorgeous retractable cord. Glides great on clothes. The only problem was that this item was leaking. I tried not to overfill the tank. Turned it on, set the temperature dial to "Cotton", let the iron heat up, the display flashed until ready and gave a small beep to signal it had reached the desired temperature. I took the iron and started ironing the black t-shirt. After about 1 minute, water began to flow through the shirt. I put the iron back on the ironing board and it was still dripping. Not from the sole, but from the base of the iron! I'm so crazy! Brand new (appears to be) out of the box and defective. Apparently I'm not the only one with problems with leaky irons. Very disappointing. I couldn't wait to get this iron. I tried immediately but was hit in the stomach. I will send the iron back and get another one. If the replacement arrives broken, I'll have to choose a different brand. Such a shame.
