Even when I opened the box, I was worried.The shipping box was unsealed and half open.In the box was a small black carrying case. This package contained all items in separate plastic bags plus what appeared to be a 'bonus" lock of hair. The flashlight itself had no additional padding or protection, although to be honest it appeared to be made out of lightweight plastic (more like as glass or "bulb")). While assembling this item, I found that the ball joint that connects the flexible metal rod to the bracket that screws into the light fixture was born smelled. Instead of tightening the ball joint, he pushed two pieces of plastic apart. I was able to reattach them, but trying to tighten them again had the same result. I would not recommend this product. Aside from the crappy packaging and broken ball joint, everything felt flimsy and cheap. The pliable metal rod itself felt heavy and strong, but that wouldn't help anyone if the ball joint at its end was broken.
