I like Hilfiger clothes and this combination of knitted hat and scarf intrigued me. This is a good set and I will wear it more often as the weather gets colder. This is the basic combination of scarf and knitted hat. Almost all are gray except for the red, white, and blue stripes that identify them as Hilfiger clothing. Gray goes with almost everything, so this accessory set can be worn without worrying too much about collisions. The material is a soft elastic fabric. Initially I was a bit apprehensive about the hat as I've struggled to find a hat that really fits me. This stretches enough to fit my large head without being too tight. That's all I can ask. The scarf is very simple - no tassels and no distinguishing features other than the logo band. Upon inspection I found no problems - no holes, nicks, pills or loose threads. I didn't wet them to see how waterproof they are. I am happy with this set and will be wearing both a scarf and a hat this winter. Both are warm, comfortable and go with almost anything.
