I could tell immediately upon opening this that this silver stool is made from cheap polyurethane as opposed to what the listing says 'real leather' " says. I wrote to the seller, who not only confirmed that it was not leather, but also wrote me the ridiculous claim that leather could not be dyed with silver or gold. Working in the industry I can tell you this is gibberish. Of course you can, hence the metallic leather shoes/jackets/purses etc. from many labels. The seller further wrote to me that it is "an industrial material that is as valuable as leather in Morocco, but what gives our poufs so much value is the design and craftsmanship." What nonsense. Polyurethane may be short-lived over time, but it cracks and certainly has no "value" anywhere. As it's now a pandemic I don't want to go back indoors to return this item but if you want a synthetic stool there are other (much) cheaper offerings that clearly state it's not leather.
