Review on Double Classic Safety Handle Professional by Monica Hale

I went back to shavers at the start of the pandemic (had to lose my beard to wear a mask). I had a lot of experience with safety razors in my war years so this was a welcome return. I have used several different handles and many different blades while working hard to perfect my technique. And I've made tremendous progress. I use this smooth bladed handle (Derby Extra) and I love it. It's not the softest pen I've used, but it's a lot closer to soft than aggressive. The blades seem to align very well when inserted and the blade protrudes more than my other pens. This gives me the added benefit of being able to "hear" the blade better. I really like the design of this grip - nice and long with a big knurl in the middle. Not too heavy - not too easy. Normally I would give this pen 4 stars - it's not perfect. But for the price it's a 5 star deal. If you're looking for a decent yet inexpensive pen, this is a winner!
