I am an ophthalmologist and we have given samples to patients with severe blepharitis. It looks like scales on the eyelids. You rub your eyes before bed and then typically use Rx eye ointment to kill any bacteria you wake up, but ointment isn't necessary if you use it regularly to keep it under control. These pads are big enough that I don't think you need to use the entire pad on one eye as you don't want to transfer bacteria from one eye to the other, rather use separate pads for each eye. The way the pad is folded I actually cut it along the creases and it turned one pad into 6 small pads. I use one for each eye, then put the other 4 back in the pack and close with a clothespin where air can't get in. I hope this helps you expand your usage. If you feel the pieces are too small for you, simply cut them in half, but do not use the same pad in one eye as the other to reduce the transfer of bacteria from one eye to the other . to wink
