Not the best product experience

I really wanted to like this main unit. It seemed like a great idea, but then it became a reality. The absolute worst thing about this thing is the Bluetooth calling. When I call or call, the person on the other end of the line cannot understand me. They tell me all they hear is a constant echo and they can hear themselves through the phone. This shouldn't be. I contacted tech support and asked if it could be the external mic that came with the package. He asked if it was possible that the microphone in the head unit didn't switch off when plugged in. They told me that making that connection didn't disable the other mic and if more people had this issue they could make changes. After trying everything they suggested to resolve the issue, tech support just stopped responding to me. If you have no experience installing car stereos I would suggest finding someone who knows what they are doing as the instructions are not very good. As I usually make my own setups this one was pretty easy and the connection wasn't difficult. However, due to the size and shape of the device I would have to trim the panel a bit to fit it properly and I'm not entirely sure I would leave that so I won't and it left a small gap at the bottom of the device. After installing it, you will find that the software is difficult to use and the built-in launcher is almost useless. The UI is clunky and doesn't allow for much customization, so head to the Play Store and explore launcher apps. I found one that works well and I really like it and once installed I was able to really use this device. Sending it back and putting my old Pioneer head unit back in. **EDIT** A few days later I got a response from the manufacturer. They wanted me to disassemble the main unit and remove the internal mic. I told them I wasn't going to work on their product so they would try to make it work. To me, that's the definition of a defective product: the need to make changes to make it work and so on. Her response was, well we gave you a solution, if you don't want that, that's your problem. Worst customer service ever.
