I ordered a couple of backpacks and returned those for $30-$50 and kept this one mainly for the following reasons: 1) I like the slim design over the bulky base 2) The back has a strong plastic backing instead of cheap cardboard backs 3) USA Warranty4 ) many pockets -> top cover, bottom base and 2 more in front 5) spacious inside. I can put a standard size pillow inside. 6) The side flap fits well on the thigh. 7) The shoulder straps are fully padded and have a center clip
