Not 100% tight. I did a water fill test and shook the container after sealing it tightly. The force of the shaking was enough to cause water to seep through. I use a traveling container and will only use solid objects and no liquids like cooking oil after this test. Maybe coconut oil will help if it's not too hot outside?
