I originally ordered this cover in the 3 layer version. but the 3rd layer only picks up flat objects. When I tried to add something of the slightest thickness, the top and bottom of the case would be difficult to close. MUCH happier with 2 layers. everything fits and I can see all my products. The bonus was the 3rd row of slots with an elastic band for my brushes and pencils instead of 2 with a 3rd layer. Some of my items were too short for the slots so I placed a folded paper towel on the bottom to lift and show. This size was perfect for all my makeup!
