We have just switched my son aged 1 year from co-sleeping to his own mattress. These bed borders are perfect! We have one big mattress on the floor for him and four of them around him. The full size sheet is still placed on top. I like that they are in the form of a memory. They're high enough to keep him from rolling out of bed, but by the time he wakes up he's learned to throw his leg over the pillow, the pillow compresses and he slides face down onto the floor, feet first . They are also comfortable to lie down or use as a pillow in a pinch when we need to lie down with it. I'm so glad we got these instead of the regular mesh handrails!
