My cat is blind and spills food when eating. She only gets food portions and no free meals because she is a glutton and eats to the point of vomiting and then keeps eating. She's always been like this. In addition, she gets dry and no wet food that rolls around in the bowl. With normal flat bottomed bowls she would eat the hole in the center of the feed and I think the rest of the bowl would be empty. She didn't eat any of the food on the outer edges of the bowl all day until I shook her back into the center. This bowl appeared to be slightly concave and the food would fall into the center as it was eaten. Theoretically yes, but when my cat eats, she pushes the food off the sides of the bowl and then doesn't seem to know it's on her mat. I stopped using this mug less than a week after receiving it.
