Please don't be put off by the price, which is well above the usual cheap rain poncho. I was looking for a well-tailored, zip-up, open-front garment to wear when walking the dog, hiking, gardening, etc. in the rain when it's not cold enough for my waterproof down jacket. It fits perfectly and I love how it puffs up so I don't have to wear raincoats for a gentle shower. Today was a moderate wind with a decent downpour and I dressed it up with raincoats and boots. Doesn't matter! No more trying to balance umbrella and leash by bending down to pick up poop. I made a modification: I used a cord clip with two holes on each edge of the open edge of the hood and pulled a piece of cord that went through the second clip and back to tie the other side. It doesn't look particularly fancy, but it works great and very quickly. I expect this poncho to last many seasons. It is worth the asking price.
