great camera, better in low light indoors than most in its price range!

Great camera, better in low light than most for the price I bought this camera in 2014 after doing some research when looking for a camcorder, this camera received great reviews for its ability to shoot indoors in low light make optimal . It uses a larger sensor size and fewer pixels of 2 megapixels which is the maximum for 1080 video and therefore each pixel receives more light than a billion pixels on a small sensor like other camcorders do. the same sensor is used in Canon's older G10 and G20 models. It works reasonably well in low light and doesn't create as much noise and blur in the image as most sub 500 cameras, the sad thing is Canon doesn't make this model so you need to buy online and don't be fooled into buying the Canon Vixia R50 . THE r SERIES USES A SMALLER SENSOR AND MORE PIXELS AND DOESN'T WORK SO WELL IN DARK LIGHT. I compared it to a Sony CD 240, which I also bought this year, and the Sony has a much larger x30 zoom, but indoors the Sony video got blurry and grainy and the Canon stayed sharp when the lighting wasn't was ideal. The only thing I miss is that the higher x10 zoom isn't always enough, but overall a good camera and you can get a remote for it
