Usually decent quality magnetic mounts have some sort of protector to hold the surface of what they're sticking to with a magnet, these things have a little pad covering the inside of the antenna covered, but you don't cover the sharp metal edge on the antenna mount housing and scratch anything they touch. The cable is very stiff and difficult to get through the car door, and the paint and molding on one side has just completely disappeared, adding to even more rust. You get exactly what you pay for.
