This plate is useful! And it improves the taste of my dishes. I love dry rice so it retains its texture. On this plate, rice is separated from vegetables with sauce. and i'm ready to go The sections are a bit shallow but deep enough for the sauce I use. is it good for soup no Is it suitable for vegetable sauce? Yes, will it work for a super flavorful tikka masala that's almost like a soup? Exactly. If you want soup, take a plate. Can they be washed in the dishwasher? Allegedly. I would like to know the answer to this question. Anyway I gave it 5 stars for durability - they seem to be very durable. Bonus - these are fairly thick plates with more sides than a regular plate (peace sign). Sections have additional pages, of course). So this plate seems to hold heat better than other plates and keeps my food warm a little longer. I usually microwave with some water for 60 seconds. Works well. However, if you have a heating stone, Corelle may be a better conductor of heat. fwiw. But as a plate to keep toast or rice completely dry rather than with other wetter things on the plate as well as to keep all food warm this is a nice plate. I bought a second one as the first one did well. I don't like it but I like what it does and now I use it all the time. I wish the sides were a bit steeper/lower.
