My daughter is 9 months old now. I introduced her to this when we started mashing a few months ago. Children can not easily squeeze it unless the puree is mainly diluted with water. Then it's too much chaos to really deal with. Now my little girl is petite, but I think almost every child will have mouth size problems, phew! it's huge. It fits my mouth more comfortably when she tries to put it in. Also, the plastic part next to the mouthpiece is very large and awkward to handle, so its design is such that it would be more convenient to hold it upside down. (Which she does every time I give her this) If you need a device to keep you busy playing with something in your hands and figuring out how to eat less than half and an ounce of food (because that most of it either gets enough sleep or if it's too thick it can't come out unless an adult squeezes it) do it. Otherwise, there are probably better gadgets on the market. Don't choose these just because of the low price.
