Reluctant to order as the price is much higher than aluminum step rings, and not sure it could be much better. This is a very beautiful ring. The ring is about three times heavier than the aluminum versions, so it's still light and very well made. The biggest plus and reason I even considered this ring is that it doesn't stick like the aluminum rings I've used. Despite my best efforts, the aluminum rings stayed attached to the point where I didn't think I would ever be able to remove the filter. Even the key for the filter didn't help. Just time and determination. It seemed like it was just a risk you were taking with using it, no matter the brand or price. It looks like this problem has been solved with the Breakthrough Photography Ring. I've attempted to attach this ring by consciously tightening the B+W CPL and using just my fingers to unscrew it each time, using about the same amount of force as was used to put it on. I will no longer walk around with filters partially screwed on.
