Really well made, but underpowered for my taste

This device is really well made. This makes it heavy, but feels good in your hand. Nicely decorated with diffusers. The tote bag is really good. Overall very happy with design and accessories. Color management comes in very handy when you need it. My device's heatsink arrived scratched, but that's not a problem. Battery life is decent. I got about 75 minutes at full brightness (no boost). But I expected it to be better than my Manfrotto Lumimuse light (https://amzn.to/2Tv4Tpj) and it's not for my use. The Aputure is heavier and larger than the Lumimuse, but the Lumimuse sheds more light on the subject for much longer. Spent over 2 hours with him. The difference is that the Lumimuse is more focused and you control color with filters, while the Aputure is more diffuse. I find the Lumimuse more useful for running and recording interviews, but for better general lighting control, the Aputure is great. It depends on what you want to use it for. For me, the key is to maximize the coverage of my interview topic in the maximum amount of time. Somehow the Manfrotto Lumimuse manages to do this in a smaller and lighter product, largely by focusing the light rather than scattering it everywhere. https://amzn.to/2Tv4Tpj
