Seems you need to download the B&W app to connect PI5 headphones to iPhone. You cannot connect/add headphones manually via Bluetooth function in iPhone settings. When using the app, it is very difficult to pair the headphones for the first time. After an hour of trying with case door open/closed, headphones in case, out of case, in ears etc. Successfully connected once. The music quality was good. Unfortunately, my nod to the music turned off Bluetooth. Frustrated, I decided not to test the rest of the features. If B&W can fix the firmware, app related issues, etc. I'm sure it will be a great buy considering a few seconds of music.
