Review on OtterBox DEFENDER SCREENLESS Samsung Galaxy Cell Phones & Accessories and Cases, Holsters & Clips by Prince Aguirre

Longtime fan of OtterBox products but very hesitant this time as OtterBox was interfering with the wireless charging of my previous S5 and S4 phones. There were also conflicting reviews online, some said it worked, others said it didn't. I took a chance and ordered it for my S8 and Note8. Everything works very well with OEM wireless charging stations. I have to lay the phone horizontally (can't use the charger in tilt mode) but this works for me and it's very secure when properly positioned on the charging pad. This also works on my old tylt charger which couldn't handle the old S5 in the Otterbox Defender at all. So yes, wireless charging works with this case. And the cover itself? You should already know it as this is the legend against which all other rugged cases are compared, but it does the job perfectly. There have been some horrific falls onto floors, paved parking lots and a gravel road, but it worked and the phone escaped unscathed. Don't get stuck on the lack of a protective film; Bumpers on top and bottom protect the screen well. If I one day drop it on rough terrain I might change my mind, but so far so good. Also, in this case it is very easy to access the side/side menus.
