It took us a long time to find headphones that my partner could take to the gym. He is semi-paralyzed and can only use one arm. Normal headphones were constantly tangled in the pocket and difficult to unravel with one hand. He wanted something to plug into so he could watch TV while on the treadmill. The on-ear headphones were too difficult to put on and take off with one hand, and actually broke the pair trying to take them off. These retractable earbuds work great - he just sticks them in first, then pulls with one hand to insert them. Then when he takes them out, he leaves the other end connected and pulls to make them pull back. Finally an answer to his problem. We will order more spares (he has a habit of leaving them in his pockets and they will be erased).
