I work from home as a consulting engineer in the telecom industry. I also make drawings for the construction of a honeycomb system and the installation of equipment. There are many CAD drawings involved and my setup has multiple monitors with large screens. I mounted this directional microphone on a double-jointed boom. This allows the mic to stay slightly above my seat and keeps the mic away from my monitors. The supercardioid pickup picks up my voice so I can talk, look at my screens, and be hands-free in remote meetings. Everyone says I have a great sound and I'm never asked to repeat what I've said. The only complaint I have is that the switch doesn't mute the mic when using phantom power. On battery power, the on/off switch turns off the microphone audio, as expected. The microphone also works when mounted on the camera as it is very light. All necessary accessories were included, as well as a travel case.
