It's not nice. for monitor accessories

.but works quite well. This is a very strong, very practical mount for flat screens with limited articulation. Mount-It is cost effective and ideal for situations where function over form. I have an Ergotron arm on my desk, nice, smooth and posable. I didn't need this level of sophistication for the 21-inch ACER flat screen on the work desk in our bonus room. I needed easy installation, strength, some articulation, and a good price. "Mount-It" was spot on. Big. The clamp on the "Mount-It" is deep and wide and when tightened provides a very secure base for the rest of the arm. A clamp is the only option for attaching this arm (some arms offer a bolt-through option for the countertop). You need to make sure the edge of your desk or table has room for the clip. A clearance of approximately 2 1/2 inches in from the edge of the table is required to ensure the clamp is in full contact with the table surface and that the two clamp screws are tightened securely from below. The clamp can securely accommodate a 2-2 1/4" thick table top. The general fit and finish of the "Mount It" is good, if perhaps a bit rough (compared to my Ergotron unit at least), and the Welds in my example looked pretty good and solid. But they give off a bit of an industrial vibe. Assembly and fine adjustment of the lever is done with the Allen key provided. Mount-It is very easy to assemble. Hand mobility is a bit limited at this price point Essentially, the monitor arm pivots around the mounting stand. The arm has an "elbow" that allows for horizontal extension or retraction in a plane parallel to the tabletop; the arm itself does not allow for vertical movement. At the end of the arm, where where the monitor mount is located, there is a ball joint. Swivel allows you to tilt the monitor up, down, side to side, and anywhere else. You can adjust the monitor a Also rotate from "landscape" to "portrait" position. The vertical position or height of the monitor can only be adjusted by loosening the ring on the mounting stand with the supplied hex key. The hand rests on this ring when rotating around the pole. Assuming you don't need to reposition your monitor often, the lack of height adjustment might not matter. it wasn't for me. If you need more flexibility for your application, you should look elsewhere. All in all, a great monitor mount, provided you can live with the limitations and the decidedly industrial look. It's well built, easy to install, and fairly secure when installed properly. And at this price, it's hard to beat. Maybe ugly, but very neat bracket.

Pros
  • Nice
Cons
  • Mostly good, but...
