Review on ๐Ÿ”Œ Gupup WiFi LED Lights 50ft: Smart App Control, Alexa and Google Assistant Compatible, Music Sync, Color Changing for Bedroom by Marlin Atonyo

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Pretty solid! for new lighting

5 stars because they work decent enough and have no fatal flaws. Keep that in mind because there are a lot of good and bad things to talk about with these guys. Pros: - The app is pretty reliable. There is a color wheel to choose your own colors, preset 'moods', functional 'music' as advertised and (personal favourites) a timer and scheduling option for your lights. - The timer and scheduling options are still amazing. accurate to real time. For me, these things turn on at exactly 10 am every morning with no downside. The color wheel selection is quite extensive and fairly accurate once you get the hang of it. I like dual connectors/cords. This one is simpler, but I still appreciate the separation of the two light bars in the field of view and not the need to run the entire light scroll through slots I don't want to see. CONS: - Dimming function leaves a lot to be desired. The light doesn't get very dim at 1% and it only seems to dim noticeably every 25% (it's really only 5 brightness options) - hooking up the lights was quite tricky. It's a Wi-Fi and Bluetooth based process and I suppose someone not that tech savvy could get very frustrated and stop. - Screams of light on certain settings. What strikes me most is a pure red with a brightness of 20-30%. I wish there was an RGB slider setting in addition to or instead of the color wheel. Navigating the color wheel accurately can be a little tricky, and I wish there was an easier way to fine-tune colors.
