I was going on vacation to Dagestan. Planned walks in the mountains. However, I have problems with my knees, so I began to look for solutions. Quite by chance I came across an article just about Dagestan, where a local resident gave a girl her stick to get to an abandoned village. I remembered that there is such a thing as trekking poles. Time was already running out, so I chose almost at random. I didn’t see the point of taking especially expensive ones, since it wasn’t supposed to be used often, I didn’t want to buy very cheap ones either. In general, I liked the sticks. And they really work and distribute the load. Without them, where I went up, I would not have gone up for sure. Even the stairs in the fortress of Derbent were much easier to climb.
