Brightness: These bulbs are over 30,000 lumens bright! The lamp is slightly larger than my previous lamp and has a retractable diffuser and four barn doors to channel the light. The optical LED lens is also noticeable and is a welcome improvement. Lighting control and application: GVM can easily control my previous lighting equipment and this new kit. Indoors I mainly use the slave and master function and will use the channels if I buy additional 1200D kits. Power Options: Each of my previous lamps required two batteries when shooting outdoors for urban ghetto photos or photos/videos of elderly people outdoors in the fall. Speaking of electricity, the ability to store batteries or AC transformers is a welcome addition as there are no longer large transformer boxes on the floor. I used to velcro them to the posts so they don't get in the way. I can store this on the bottom of the flashlight with the new slots provided.
