I like that they are connected, it seems to me that in this way they are not subject to so much wear and tear. Cords will not tangle or hold creases. They're easy to put in, but the smallest size of the included earbuds are a bit big for my ears, so they tend to wiggle a lot. Feeling the buttons on the controller isn't as easy as some other designs. I can't reasonably comment on the sound quality other than saying they sound good for audiobooks.
