Scratch. I connect the phone and now it beeps both with and without the DSL disconnect. I think it's designed for two phones. if you set up a dsl with a filter, it cuts the dsl every time the phone rings. I have to point this out though. I disconnect the splitter and connect the phone directly and the audio is crystal clear. As soon as I connect the phone to one of the two connections (left or right, no DSL), it scratches. Maybe mine was defective and I should be sending it back, but it was cheap and not worth the time. Again, it may be that I have a defective part. it only works with or without a DSL connected, it sounds a bit static. But it's weird when the phone doesn't ring and no one calls. DSL is slightly faster than if I connect the DSL directly to the main socket. So I'm keeping it to myself and giving it 3 stars. I would give 3 ½.
