Review on NetLogo by Shaun Helm

I like that it's free to use, easy enough for students without programming knowledge or experience (like me), but also has advanced features if you're willing/able pay up front in order get support from experts who know what they are doing! It can be difficult at times figuring out how things work together - especially when using more than one model file simultaneously which often results with unexpected interactions between models not intended by any of us involved writing them!! But once figured everything works as expected then its great fun learning about complex systems through modeling simple agents interacting within those environments!
