Most new modern cars come with LED lighting, but our 2013 car was still using old, inefficient and weak conventional bulbs. Upgrading the two small lights in the trunk with these LED bulbs provides much brighter illumination, which in turn makes finding things in the trunk easier. The significantly lower power consumption also makes it less likely that the problem of forgetting to fully close the trunk lid in the garage will drain your car battery the next morning. Unfortunately, I know this from my own experience :).
