I love the wide range of colors and I love combining them. However, I can do this with almost any ink. To be honest, I prefer to simply fill used cartridges with the ink that I like. This way I can choose how much ink I want to add to each one and I don't have to use the entire cartridge of the same color at once, leaving nothing for later. In fact, I don't know of any good way to store an open cartridge without making a mess or drying it out. When I refill my own I can use as many as I want in any color I want in the best brand that doesn't flow like a felt tip pen but more like a real fountain pen. (Seriously, this ink feels like marker ink.) I have mixed feelings about this product. I don't recommend it, but I don't hate it either. I like using it. I just have more fun with other inks that flow like they should. I think I might buy this refill set because of the variety of colors, but I would most likely only buy bottled ink in a few colors that I intend to use regularly. That way I can get them in the best brand. Parallel pens are amazing with almost every ink I've tried. I find they work well despite this ink, not because of it.
